What is Duffy Club?

It is your community where you can have fun Competing for Prizes and Learning Money Skills. You can meet other people from your school or city or country who also want to learn these important lessons.

While you’re learning you can save for your future for example to go to university or buy your first home.
How does Duffy Club work?

That’s easy. You just need to ask your school champion if it’s ok to become a member. Then you need to team up with two other people from your school to form your team. You then make up a name for your team and take a video of your team. Once you’ve built your profile other teams can meet you and talk with you. You can then begin meeting everyone in Duffy Club!

We have prepared thirty weekly pod cast tutorials. Your champion can set you theoretical and practical tasks for your team to complete. You can also compete for prizes at our Inter-School Money Competition!

You can also host your own blogs and chat with the mentors.
Who are the members of Duffy Club?

The members include
(1) You, your team and other teams from your school
(2) Your school champion who looks after the teams at your school
(3) Teams from other schools around your city, and from around the country
(4) Mentors who can help you with any questions you have
(5) The Duffy Twins who present your tutorials
Why Duffy Club?

Duffy Club gives you the opportunity to learn from a 21^st Century education initiative.

We’ve created this fun place for you so you can learn amongst yourselves, at your own speed, and in your own time. You can ask questions and find answers from other teams, and make friends who can help you with your businesses now and in the future.

You have heaps of resources available. You may meet your future business partner or employer in Duffy Club so when you leave school or university you will have a great job waiting for you!

You can compete for prizes at our Inter-School Money Competition too!

As you develop your ideas over the years you will have the opportunity to turn them into successful business ventures, and you will have the opportunity to start your own business with your own idea!
How it started?

Duffy Club started at Northcross Intermediate on the North Shore of Auckland as a pilot programme. It has grown to include many schools from around New Zealand and our goal is to have all schools using Duffy Club for a fun way to learn Money Skills…and other lessons too.

We would also like to expand into other countries so you can meet other members and teams from around the world. You can then understand what it is like to live and learn and start your own business in other cities such as Sydney and London and New York.
